A major consideration for both sports facilities and schools alike, twin bar fencing boasts the combination of strength and safety with an attractive finish. Its composition – a mesh panel comprising of 6mm vertical wires sandwiched between two 8mm horizontal wires (8/6/8) – is designed to withstand impact and retain integrity. With its flat profile and durability, twin bar makes an excellent choice for a ball-stop perimeter.
The most basic form of twin bar is the standard option; the panel’s sturdy design of a 200 x 50mm wire aperture is widely used for perimeters to football pitches, where the fencing will not have regular impact upon it. For fencing installations that will be subject to constant use, the super rebound option is highly recommended.
Consisting of twice the number of horizontal wires in the form of a 66 x 50mm aperture, added to the lower 1.20m section, super rebound offers a more heavy-duty panel that can withstand continuous gameplay. All designs of twin bar allow for optimum visibility through the fence line.
This all-surround fencing package can be customised in a variety of heights and colours to suit customer specification. Individuals panels of twin bar mesh are available up to 3 metres high; however, by combining panels or adding netting, heights of up to 6 metres can be achieved. In situations where ball rebound is not required, twin bar can be offered in a lighter gauge (6/5/6) option. The mesh panels also have the advantage of being installed with tamper-proof bolts and noise-reducing pads.
All steelwork is galvanised and polyester powder-coated in a variety of RAL colours; this coating gives the fencing a long-last protection against weathering and ball impacts.
